Castle Coch, Glamorganshire

Photographers Comment: This is a small castle, its compact nature means you have difficulty getting back far, and being in woodland, capturing the outside is not easy either. However you have a variety of levels and can get a variety of partial views that are magical.

Although a Victorian creation a lot of research must have gone into it, as many of the features such as the working of the drawbridge, portcullis and some other items are particularly interesting as they are complete and working, plus you can get as close as you like to them.

This is more of a wizards castle than a warlords, with interior decoration and features that you are unlikely to come across elsewhere.  With no restrictions on taking photos inside it provides so many opportunities.
