Photographers Comment:
Stanton Drew Stone Circles is the 2nd largest stone circle in the UK, only
Avebury in Wiltshire is bigger. It is also mostly complete with the stones untouched by human
hand. We have visited it a number of times now over the years, the visit that
there images are from was when Keith wanted to use it as a suitable location for
taking a set of pinhole photographs, and we have a second gallery, link below,
of these. Because of it's isolation and the
fact that it is not heavily promoted as a tourist site, it is one of the best to
photograph as there are usually very few other people around when you visit. So
for doing experimental photography like taking Pinhole images, or doing 3D
it is a much easier task as you don't have to worry about movement. Being in a
farmers field, there are sometimes sheep in the field, but not when we visited to
take these images.
