Photographers Comment:
Chesters Roman Fort, is in a beautiful location and again like many Roman sites
it is built on the side of a river, although on a raised plateau above the flood
plain. The bath house structure being the nearest to the river.
It is now part of open parkland
and English Heritage has fenced off each part with walk through gates for
visitors to enter, as well as a perimeter fence, this is to keep livestock off
the excavations. There is plenty to see and photograph here.
Within the museum there are many artefacts on
display that have been found during past excavations. |
